Introduction
There are many critics of the Bible regarding the outlandish stories and so-called miracles that Jesus and others performed, but suppose all of that was possible. A few miracle examples include changing water into wine, parting the seas, healing the sick, and raising the dead. Many humans on this planet would consider that fairytale nonsense or an exaggeration, but what are the chances that it’s real? If it is real, then that will require faith. Although, to prove miracles are real to the world, faith alone cannot do that. Science is mainly known as factual evidence for physical properties to the universe, but it all stems from theories in the start. What do theories have in common with miracles? Faith. A scientist must have faith in their work and or theory to prove it, which sometimes can create biases. People who focus too much on the world’s properties have a narrow perception of revealing all truths to the universe. The only way to fully grasp the knowledge of reality and the miracles in the Bible is to combine science and God.
At the very beginning of science, the idea of a creator (God) was in the minds of early scientists. However, over time the idea that any deity would be responsible for the universe was thrown out. It became an abnormality to believe in God while approaching science. In my opinion, that was caused by the expansion of knowledge. Humans understood more and more about the world, which provided evidence that everything works like clockwork. For example, scientists peaked into the universe’s formation and devised theories to explain it. The Big Bang is the most believed idea to explain the universe’s creation. While that theory could be accurate, it’s just a theory at the end of the day and requires faith to accept. We cannot honestly know how reality started, so we only see past evidence from the background radiation and established physics.
Every physicist wants to discover the Theory of Everything to explain all aspects of the universe. The pursuit of that has been ongoing for a long time, and they are making progress. Sadly, if Humanity is given an infinite amount of time, we most likely will never find it. The reasoning is that many sciences will remain either unknown or disconnected without God, thereby not showing everything. If Humanity desires to know all truths, then the implementation of our creator is required. The combination of science and God forms the Theory of God’s Design. Everything is designed according to Deus vult (Latin for God’s will).
Quantum Immortality
The modern era proves to be the most informative time where humans are living. As technology progresses, so does our understanding and vice versa. Scientists and physicists have uncovered tremendous aspects about our universe that challenges the very core of existence and reality. The most popular example of that is the quantum realm. That’s when atoms are broken down into even smaller bits called quarks, which behave very strangely compared to all other established (classical) physics. The infamous double-slit experiment proved that these particles are actually waves until detected by an observer. Since that day, there is a split between classical physics and quantum physics. Countless theories are proposed to explain the weirdness of quarks and their realm, but we do not fully grasp the quantum picture. If the day comes that we can combine all types of physics into one nice box, then that’ll be the “Theory of Everything.”
Typically when viewing science, especially the freaky quantum stuff, God is dismissed and sci-fi replaces it. However, what if there were hints within the design of this universe that show how God works? That would be amazing, but takes faith and an understanding of the spiritual reality. Immortality itself has been around for a long time as an idea, concept, or even a strong-held belief by many throughout Human history. In the worldly sense, immortality does not exist. In the otherworldly (spiritual) sense, it does. However, that goes into a different field of spirituality and God’s design.
Throwing quantum elements into immortality gives an interesting theory called Quantum Immortality. Imagine if you were in a room with a bomb connected to a particle spin measuring device with a button to possibly detonate the bomb. You decide to press the button since there is a 50% chance of the particle spin aligning with the bomb’s activation. You press it…nothing happens. You press it one more time for a 25% chance of survival, but…nothing happens. Finally, you decide to continue pressing despite your survival odds decreasing by half each time. After a while, nothing happens and you even pressed it 100 times at this point. What’s going on here? There are two timelines being separated from the base timeline each moment the button is pressed. In one universe, you die after pressing it and in another, you don’t die.
